Who has never dreamed of climbing the 21 legendary bends of Alpe d'Huez? Bike & Trip offers you a route from Albertville passing first of all by pleasant small roads of the lower valley of the Maurienne before tackling the hors catégorie col du Glandon, then to switch in the valley of the Eau d'Olle to join Bourg d'Oisans and to end the day in style with the Alpe d'Huez climb. The climb record is still held by Marco Pantani in 1997 with 37'35'. And what will be your time?

Route : 125 km and 3500m positive elevation
From Albertville, you will reach the entrance of the Maurienne valley by a road without too steep to start this day smoothly. You will then go up the lower valley of the Maurienne by little roads and passing beautiful small villages until Saint-Etienne-de-Cuines. It is here that the ascent of the hors catégorie Col du Glandon begins with its 21 km and 1450 m of positive elevation, indeed 7% of average slope.
You will then switch to the Eau d'Olle valley and pass successively along the dams of Grand Maison and Verney, reservoirs of the most important and powerful hydroelectric plant in France. A few kilometers of flat in the Oisans valley before reaching the main ascent of this day: the 21 bends over 14 km and 1100 m of positive elevation, indeed an average slope of 8%.
A support vehicle will be available for the transport of the day luggage, refueling and mechanical assistance.
At midday, a lunch break will be offered on a viewpoint overlooking the turquoise waters of the Grand Maison dam.
